Air Asia, selects AIMS Operations Control and Crew Management Solution

Expanding our already successful market share through the Asia Pacific region, AIMS is extremely delighted to announce that the Air Asia Group, an award winning low-cost airline based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia has joined the elite AIMS Family of Airlines.

Air Asia has been recognized by Skytrax as the ‘World’s Best Low-Cost Airline’ for the last 7 years running and is part of an elite group operating scheduled domestic and international flights to more than 100 destinations with an ultra-modern fleet of Airbus A320, 330 and ‘state of the art’ 320 neo, the introduction of which will oversee and ensure the operational integrity of the Air Asia Group by supporting Airline operations in Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, India and Japan.

In addition to Air Asia, AIMS has also been selected to support and provide for the operational requirements of Air Asia X, the Business Model of which is to provide for a “premier” Economy and Business Class product at an “affordable price” with a fleet of A330 and A350 aircraft throughout Asia, Australia and the Pacific Region.

The introduction of AIMS will oversee the ambitious expansion of the Air Asia Group Global Network by providing for increased frequency and the introduction of new destinations within Asia, Indian Sub-Continent, Middle East, Europe and North America in the near future.

George G. Bethanis, Head of AIMS Communications:

“On behalf of the entire AIMS Team, I am delighted to welcome Air Asia to the prestigious, highly acclaimed AIMS Family of Airlines…

The ever increasing dependency of the Airline Industry for ‘state-of-the-art’ optimization and business management decision making tools places an onus on software providers such as ourselves to open ‘new frontiers’ in the development of products for prestigious Airlines such as Air Asia, Air Asia X and others belonging to the Air Asia Group.

Following an extensive evaluation process, the Air Asia Group clearly supports the fact that when benchmarked against other providers AIMS is clearly ‘ahead of the game…’ and that the AIMS Vision and Strategy for Air Asia and Air Asia X is a ‘perfect match.’

The selection of the AIMS Crew Management and Operations Control suite will ensure that the Air Asia Group continues to excel as a leader in the Global Marketplace.

My colleagues and I are absolutely delighted to have been afforded the opportunity to partner with them in order to help with their future success!”
