AIMS
has been specifically designed to assist airline management improve operations
and services by minimizing overall costs through the more efficient planning,
co-ordination and utilization of their crew/aircraft resources, support
staff, administration and communications facilities. AIMS represents an ideal solution for vertical and lateral integration into an existing or planned corporate (IT) organization structure. Therefore, in terms of cost benefits and justification of system acquisition, AIMS should be considered not only for fully meeting the specialist requirements of Flight Operations and Cabin Crew Services Departments, but also in relation to its much wider corporate utilization potential. By incorporating Commercial, Engineering and Freight–Cargo departments etc. as logical extensions of AIMS usage, this allows an airline to share costs and derive benefits throughout many departments.
Identifying the cost benefits of AIMS will vary from airline to airline.
These will be influenced by:
Additional real time cost reductions and savings through:
AIMS has only to assist User airlines by improving existing crew utilization and avoid recruiting to begin generating an identifiable savings and return on system investment. Alternatively, if an airline plans to expand its aircraft fleet and necessary crew establishment requiring a more powerful management tool, its Aircraft Supplier may be willing to include AIMS as an Operational Support Package within the aircraft purchase or lease price.
Since AIMS was first introduced successfully to international airline service in 1983, it has been continuously enhanced as each new airline acquires the system and adapts it to suit its unique needs. This represents an on-going investment of millions of US dollars over a period in excess of 800 man-years. Airlines reap the benefit from this investment at a fraction of the cost they would otherwise incur through comparable in-house or other third party vendor system development.
The cost of the AIMS software is based on individual airline fleet size and / or flight deck/cabin crew establishment and includes an allowance for an expansion of 20% as follows: Enterprise Version (AIMS Core Modules) Depending on the size of the
airline, and the DBMS platform, the price for the Enterprise Version,
which includes all AIMS Core Modules commences at:
EUR
245,000
Standard Version For smaller airlines, such as initial start-ups, commuter, express shuttles, franchises or subsidiaries, etc. that have less than 100 crew, a special (fully upgradeable) Standard Version of AIMS is available. This has fewer modules and, correspondingly, less functionality. Prices start from as low as: EUR 60,000 Clients licensing the Standard Version can apply their complete AIMS
System investment towards (no penalty upgrade) the Enterprise Version if
they elect to upgrade at a later
date. If your airline is interested in joining the rapidly growing number of
highly satisfied customers around the world using AIMS and would like to
